Assessment of BMPs by Estimating Hydrologic and Water Quality Outputs Using SWAT in Yazoo River Watershed

چکیده

Water quality is a global concern; it due to point and non-point source pollution. Non-point sources for pollution are mainly runoff from Agricultural forest. To decrease nutrient inputs, management practices implemented. Using Soil Assessment Tool, water parameters can be quantified. Yazoo River Watershed the largest watershed in Mississippi, which have impact on surface large scale agriculture forest lands. Model has been calibrated validated streamflow, sediment, Total Nitrogen (TN), Phosphorus (TP) USGS gauge stations watershed. efficiency was assessed with Coefficient of Determination (R2) Nash-Sutcliffe Efficiency index (NSE). Best Management Practices (BMPs) were implemented throughout simulate BMPs yields. Vegetative Filter Strips (VFS), Riparian Buffer, combination VFS buffer Cover Crops (CC) tested assessing effective BMP improving quality. VFS, both (VFS + riparian) no effect but they able TN, TP Scenario had highest reduction capability as per varying width (5, 10, 15, 20 m). For CC, Rye grass, Winter Barley Wheat (WW) used, grass highest, 5.3% streamflow. WW that 25.4%. CC also significant ranged between 10% 11% TP. Water Quality Modeling for the Raccoon River Watershed Using SWAT

The Raccoon River Watershed (RRW) in West-Central Iowa has been recognized as exporting some of the highest nitrate-nitrogen loadings in the United States and is a major source of sediment and other nutrient loadings. An integrated modeling framework has been constructed for the RRW that consists of the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model, the interactive SWAT (i_SWAT) software package,...

Assessment quality water of Bahmanshir river by using indicators quality water BCWQI and Liou

Indices qualitative pollution is one of procedures involved in managing quality water can be a powerful management tool for decision-making, as an appropriate-use. In this paper, using done index quality water BCWQI and index pollution water Liou evaluate quality of river Bahmanshir. Sampling was within one year (2019) and 5 stations conducted. Quality parameters were investigated including: te...

Hydrologic Modeling of the Iroquois River Watershed Using HSPF and SWAT

Watershed scale hydrologic simulation models HSPF (Hydrologic Simulation Program – FORTRAN) and SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool) were used to model the hydrology of the 2150 square mile Iroquois River watershed (IRW) located in the east central Illinois. Both models are part of the BASINS modeling system that facilitates preand post-processing of data, as well as data input to the models u...

Hydrologic responses of watershed assessment to land cover and climate change using soil and water assessment tool model

Predicting the impact of land cover and climate change on hydrologic responses using modeling tools are essential in understanding the movement and pattern of hydrologic processes within the watershed. The paper provided potential implications of land conversions and climate change scenarios on the hydrologic processes of Muleta watershed using soil and water assessment tool model. Model inputs...
